Kevin D. Wright, Executive Director of the Atwood Museum/Chatham Historical Society, will be giving a talk about the history of the Chatham Historical Society, home of the Atwood Museum, as they are now 100 years old. He will also give a brief description of the museum.

Kevin Wright has been a resident of Cape Cod since 1985. Originally born in Detroit, Michigan, he has lived in South Florida, Upstate New York and finally transplanted to Massachusetts. Kevin attended one semester of college at Brockport State (New York) in 1978 before leaving school to help establish a family graphic art business. Married to his wife Nancy for 39 years, the two have made their home on the Cape in the town of Harwich. They have one daughter, Audrey, who is married and currently lives in New York, New York.

Kevin worked in the newspaper business for most of his professional career, most recently as Creative Director for Gate House Media, parent company to the Cape Cod Times. As Creative Director, he was responsible for the ad production for 7 newspapers across the country, managing a staff of 35 graphic designers. Kevin was the Advertising Services Manager of the Cape Cod Times, between 1998 and 2000, and prior to that, he worked for 12 years as production manager of The Cape Codder newspaper in Orleans. Kevin was a member on the advisory board of the Children’s Cove for 9 years, and has taught motivational courses on success principles.

Since November of 2015, Kevin has worked at the Chatham Historical Society; he is currently the Executive Director, and enjoying every minute.

Kevin enjoys reading, cooking, classical music, as well as walking, yoga and practicing qigong his with his wife Nancy.
