Boat Building
Get hands-on with our boat building program and assemble your own boat from start to finish with our one-of a kind classes!
Available for middle school children, these hands-on workshops are led by dedicated and skilled CCMM volunteers. Working as a team, participants will construct a 12 foot traditional rowing skiff from a standardized boat building kit.
Throughout the building process, participants will improve and develop critical math and woodworking skills as they embark on a journey of fun, talent-building and future "work-readiness" with their peers and adult mentors.
The Program's workshops are held twice a year, fall and winter, and every participant will experience the satisfaction and pride of learning how to complete the construction of a seaworthy small boat!
