Cape Cod Maritime Museum Open April Vacation Week

The Cape Cod Maritime Museum will be open Monday, April 15th- Friday, April 19th from 10am-4pm.
Admission is $5, Students & Seniors $4, and free for children under 7.

FAMILY PROGRAMS SCHOOL VACATION WEEK IN APRIL
The Cape Cod Maritime Museum invites you and your families to sample our programs on the week of April 15th-April 19th. These are walk-in programs from 11-3 each day (unless otherwise indicated) and are FREE with admission. They are designed to entertain those from grades k-8. Younger siblings are welcome to enjoy the museum and the programs with help from parents! Please find the following schedule below.

Touch Tank "Learn about Live Marine Specimens: A Hands-on Activity"

Rob Reynolds from The Zephyr Education Foundation of Woods Hole will be hosting this exciting event! Observe and handle live marine animals such as sea urchins, sea stars, a variety of crabs, and more, in our touch tank. Learn how they are used in research, and have fun with a microscope as it projects these creatures up close and personal.

Aargh Matey--Calling All Pirates!

Help Blackbeard bury his treasure. Make a route and decorate your treasure map with pirate stickers and learn about navigation maps and nautical symbols.

Scallop Wind Chimes

Bring home the sounds of the sea with your very own scallop shell chime! Children can bring in their own collection of shells or we can provide you with some of our own. Paint your shells and driftwood your favorite colors or keep them natural if you prefer. The object of this adventure is to have fun and be creative!

Dead Reckoning

Make Your Own Fish Boat Buoy

Mini Buoys can serve a variety of purposes ranging from markers, to guide a buoy into the dock, to a way to mark a favorite fishing spot. Use common household items as a way to recycle and save money. The buoys are usable in bodies of water such as lakes, ponds or swimming pools.

Finding Seashells in our Indoor Beach

Search our indoor beach and find as many types of seashells as possible. Test your know-how and see how good you are at identifying the many species found on Cape Cod beaches!
